Step 1: Typesetting
Typesetting is the process when your manuscript is typed into the computer, inputting it into our word processing system. This is somewhat time consuming, but a manuscript only needs to be typeset once if there are no revisions to it at a later date.
The cost for typesetting is $6.00 per 8.5 X 11 page.
Please note: If you already have your manuscript typed into a word processing program when you come to us we will skip this step and move on to editing or straight to DH Step 2.
Step 2: Text Layout and Design
Text Layout & Design can be defined as: choosing fonts, headers & footers, decorative accents, text placement, etc. This step involves adding decorative accents or designs to make the inside pages attractive to your readers.
The cost is $4.00 & up per 5.5 x 8.5 page and $5.00 & up per 8.5 x 11 page.**
Step 3: Cover Layout and Design
The layout & design of the cover is one of the most important steps of the publishing process. The cover design is important because it is the factor that initially attracts readers to your book.
The goal of DOMINIONHOUSE is to design each cover to suit the author’s taste, therefore we offer custom designs. If the author doesn’t have a particular layout & design in mind we will then work together to come up with an attractive design for the book cover.
The cost for the Cover Layout & Design starts at $350 and up.**
Step 4: Book Printing
The book printing is the final phase of the DOMINIONHOUSE publishing process. This is usually the most exciting too! It is in this stage that you will finally see the vision come together.
The price per book varies based on the book’s size, number of pages, type of paper and type of binding.
Please rest assured that each book will be offered to you at a wholesale rate. This will allow the author to sale their book at retail if they choose. Let us add, DOMINIONHOUSE doesn’t receive any profits or royalties from the sale of your book. We benefit only when you continue to invest in our products and services.
